Ultra-low harmonic

ACH580 Ultra-Low Harmonic (ULH)

For installations where power quality and harmonic performance are critical, the ACH580 ULH incorporates harmonic mitigation technology within the drive.

  • THDi ≤ 3% according to the catalog
  • Built-in harmonic mitigation
  • Active front-end technology
  • Helps reduce harmonic content in the electrical network
  • Can help avoid external harmonic mitigation components
  • Supports cleaner building power
  • Can help protect sensitive electrical equipment
  • Can reduce the need to oversize transformers and backup generators for harmonics

Need low-harmonic performance? Choose an ACH580 ultra-low harmonic configuration with integrated harmonic mitigation and THDi of 3% or less. The ≤3% THDi figure relates specifically to the ULH configuration, not to every ACH580 model.

Smart HVAC control & connectivity

Standard HVAC communication

  • BACnet MS/TP
  • Modbus RTU
  • N2

Ideal for integrating the drive directly into a BMS/BAS or building automation system.

Optional fieldbus protocols

How to select the right ACH580

Step 1 — Identify supply voltage

Choose the appropriate voltage rating.

Step 2 — Identify motor power and current

Match the drive to the motor's nominal power/current.

Step 3 — Select the drive construction

Wall-mounted, drive module or cabinet-built.

Step 4 — Determine harmonic requirements

Select the appropriate ultra-low harmonic variant where necessary.

Step 5 — Select required options

Examples include additional I/O, fieldbus adapters, Bluetooth control panel, EMC options and disconnect options.

The catalog recommends selecting the drive based on supply voltage and motor power/current, then adding the required options to the order code.
